Conference Venue
The conference takes place in the Dornburger Castles ("Altes Schloss"), Dornburg Local information can be found here The conference venue is about 13 km north of Jena where it is recommended that most participants stay.
Bus transportation will be arranged to transport
attendees from Jena to Dornburg.
If you are driving to Dornburg by car from Jena: Take the B88 going north to Naumburg. As you approach Dornburg you will see three castles on top of a hill to your left. These are the Dornburg Castles. The conference site is the gray one at the far right. Below the Castles you will see a green sign for "Dornburg" as well as a brown one with "Dornburger Schlösser" pointing to the left. (If you cross a railroad track and then river, you have gone too far!) Take a left and go up the hill about 1 km. At the top of the hill turn left into the village of Dornburg. You will go straight past the square. There will be a pond to your left and in front the town church with clock. Where the square ends you will see too your left an old gate and a sign with "P" for parking, as well as a sign in German "Nur fuer Veranstaltungen Altes Schloss Dornburg" (Only for events of the Old Castle Dornburg). Park in the lot shown below right.
To get to the conference walk out the gate, take a left. You will walk between the gray building on your left, and the church with town clock on your right. At the path make a left and walk straight ahead. The "Altes Schloss" of the conference venue is the gray building in front of you.
